Truth: Oh no, his penis is small!

Truth #3

"My six year old son and his friend got naked to run through the sprinklers yesterday. My son's penis is smaller. It loks a lot smaller! (I was trying not to stare too much.) My husband's penis isn't the biggest in the world, and I know it bothers him. I hope my son doesn't suffer the same fate. Damnit, I just want it to be big."

I've been on the opposite side of where you are now - my mother and I (when caring for my then-baby son's diaper needs) would often comment on how beautifully formed and healthily sized my son's penis was. We saw nothing wrong with saying it, we want him to see himself as a being worth love and praise all over, not as someone with "dirty" parts, like we were.

Due to complications in his infancy, he wasn't cut and now I look at him when I'm helping him put on his pants (he's twelve now and somewhat autistic and slightly retarded physically) I marvel silently at how wonderfully pure he looks when he's bare. He is my little, perfectly formed Davide..

I hadn't had much experience with males in general and no experience with boys when he was born, neither had my mother (the boys bit). Later, I married a man who is a "grower" and found out there are two types of penis: showers and growers, as well as multiple formations of the sac.

My son is a shower. His penis, when flacid, will always hang outside his body, but his sac is very neat and tucks up tight against his groin. Growers, when flacid, recede into the body, for the most part, but extend and swell to the same average sizes as showers.

Talk to your son, explain to him as he's growing up that boys come in lots of shapes and sizes, but all of them are perfectly normal, just like different hair color and texture is normal. As for your husband, tell him if it can reach from him to you, it's the perfect size! :D

My husband is quite small compared to most of the boyfriends I had, but I find I enjoy him a lot more than I ever did them.

My GP shocked me when my son (first child) was 2 months old when he said...."Gee, isn't your boy hung! He could make a lot of girls happy, or a fortune in the Porn industry." Can you image the gobsmacked look I had when I left his office.
